Tom Rutherford

Tom Rutherford is Godspeed Capital’s Chief Financial Officer and joined the firm in 2024. Godspeed Capital is a private equity investment firm focused on organic and acquisition growth strategies in the lower middle-market Defense & Government services, solutions, and technology markets. Mr. Rutherford leads Godspeed’s accounting, treasury, tax and investor reporting functions. Mr. Rutherford has over 14 years of experience in private equity.

Prior to Godspeed, Mr. Rutherford was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Camden Partners, an enterprise software growth equity firm, where he led all financial reporting and compliance functions. In addition, Mr. Rutherford served as a resource to portfolio companies on accounting, tax and financing matters.

Tom graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Finance. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
